Duration : 3-6 months Contract to hire

Location : Charlotte, NC Hybrid

Overview:

• We are looking for a seasoned Enterprise Architect with extensive experience in the Financial Services or Banking industry.
• The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in enterprise architecture processes and a proven track record of independently leading architecture initiatives.
• This role demands a self-starter who can effectively collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups and drive strategic technology initiatives that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Architecture Leadership:

• Identify, develop, and lead enterprise architecture initiatives that enhance organizational capabilities and support business objectives.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful execution of architecture strategies.

Model Development:

• Utilize modeling tools such as Ardoq, EA Sparx, Archimate, and Visio to create architecture diagrams, capability models, and business processes.

Process Optimization:

• Implement enterprise architecture processes, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities are established and adhered to.

Agile Methodologies:

• Understand DevOps practices, agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines to provide the right level of enterprise architecture guidance through appropriately tailored enterprise architecture processes.

Cross-Functional Leadership:

• Lead cross-functional teams, managing multiple priorities and driving projects to successful completion.

Communication:

• Effectively communicate complex technology concepts to a variety of business and technology stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum of 10+ years of collective experience as an Enterprise Architect and/or Solution Architect.
• At least 3 years of enterprise architecture experience specifically within financial services companies or banks.
• Demonstrable experience in working with Business Capability models like BIAN.

Modeling Expertise:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience utilizing modeling tools to develop architecture diagrams and capability models.
• Detailed knowledge of various modeling frameworks (UML, Business Process Modeling, Data Modeling) and their applications.

Technical Proficiency:

• Strong understanding of cloud, hybrid, and on-prem architectures, including potential design trade-offs.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves)

Banking Knowledge:

• Deep understanding of banking operations, products, and regulatory landscapes.

Core Banking Experience:

• Familiarity with core banking platforms, payment systems, and digital channels.

Cloud Solutions:

• 3+ years of experience in solution architecture with Azure, GCP, or AWS.

Certifications:

• BIAN Certified - Foundation and/or Data Architecture and Design Specialist.
• Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-303 & AZ-304) Certified.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional.
• Professional Cloud Architect on Google Cloud.
