RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts in a high-volume emergency department with over 100,000 annual visits
• Every other weekend scheduling requirement with flexibility to meet department needs
• No block scheduling available
• Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Float to all sections within the emergency department (no floating outside of ED)
• Must maintain AIDET standards, respectful behavior, and patient experience requirements
• Keep patient boards updated with information throughout visits
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (all before start date), ENPC within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in emergency room setting
• Experience in Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center preferred
• Must have teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department required
• Documentation system: Cerner
• Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
• Dress code: Navy scrubs required
• Support staff includes techs available for cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and triage
