PURPOSE OF POSITION

The production line lead will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily production activities of a production line. This key position with the production team will ensure that production goals and objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

· Coordinate and supervise the daily production activities of assigned staff.

· Load rolls of chipboard on machine ensuring continuous supply of material

· Keep accurate records of hourly production numbers and scrap

· Inspect filters and filter packaging at various stages of production, making corrections as necessary.

· Assist with providing raw materials to the production line to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing.

· Sets up line for the filter manufacturing.

· Performs other duties as assigned by management to support production goals

DECISIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assist the supervisor in monitoring employee performance to ensure product quality aligns with company specifications

· Ensure that all employees follow safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment

· Responsible for production and packaging of products, ensuring they meet quality standards

· Conduct regular checks on production processes and report any discrepancies to supervisor

. Collaborate and lead team members to foster a positive and productive environment

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Prior work experience and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required

· Strong communication skills.

· Must be able to use a tape measure accurately.

· Must be able to operate a computer.

· Must be able to utilize BPCS to order material and return stock.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

· May be required to lift up to approximately 40 pounds.

· Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

· Safety glasses are required at all times to protect against dust and particles.

· Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes and dust particles.

· Must be able to withstand both hot and cold atmosphere depending on weather conditions.

· Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
