Field Sales Manager (Window and Door Events)
Job Description
Job Description
Build and lead a window and door event sales team across the Triangle and Triad.
Contract, 1099 independent contractor, part time
$4,500 to $7,500 per month (commission and performance based)
Holly Street Sales Co. is a field marketing agency. We put brand teams in front of real customers at home
shows, fairs, and retail events. A leading national window and door manufacturer has hired us to build and
run their event sales team across North Carolina.
We are hiring one Field Sales Manager to lead it. You will work the booth yourself, set in home consultation
appointments with homeowners, and build and coach a small team of reps who do the same. Our client's
own sales team runs the appointments and closes the business. Your job is to fill their calendar and lead the team that fills it.
We will tell you exactly who the brand is on our first call.
What you will do
- Work branded booths at home shows, fairs, and retail events across Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, and
High Point
- Personally engage homeowners and book in home consultation appointments
- Recruit, train, and coach a team of event sales reps
- Own booth setup, breakdown, and event day logistics
- Track appointments and report results weekly
- Represent a nationally known brand to the standard a 100 year reputation demands
What we are looking for
- Window and door sales or marketing experience strongly preferred. Brands like Renewal by Andersen, Pella, Champion, Window World, Marvin, West Shore Home, Power Home Remodeling, or a comparable home improvement brand.
- Experience recruiting, training, or leading a sales or event team
- Comfortable working weekends. Most events fall Friday through Sunday.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Able to lift and carry booth equipment up to 50 pounds
- Self directed. You will not have a manager standing next to you at the booth.
Schedule and travel
- Roughly 4 events per month to start, with more added as the program grows
- Most event work is weekends. Recruiting, training, and planning happen during the week.
- Events run across the Triangle and Triad. Occasional travel beyond those markets is reimbursed, including gas, per diem, and hotel when an overnight is required.
HOW YOU GET PAID
Three parts. Paid weekly.
1. A weekly base
Guaranteed every week, tied to a straightforward personal appointment goal. Weeks with no event on the calendar still pay, because recruiting and training your team is part of the job.
2. Commission on your own results
You earn on every appointment you personally set that the homeowner keeps, and you earn again when that appointment turns into a signed sale.
3. An override on your team
You earn a piece of every appointment your reps set that gets kept, and again when those turn into sales. The override accelerates once your team passes a volume threshold at an event, so a strong team pays you
well. At target this role earns roughly $6,400 per month. There is no cap on any commission line.
We will walk through the exact numbers on every line with you during the interview.
