Job DescriptionAs a Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol in Wilmington, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.
As an Allied Universal Security Officer, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents through routine unarmed patrols at a government location. You will be highly visible, interact positively with staff and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a secure environment. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or access.
- Monitor the premises for unusual activity and report findings according to site protocols.
- Assist in enforcing site rules and regulations as outlined in post orders.
- Work closely with government personnel and visitors to address security-related inquiries or concerns.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities as required by Allied Universal and client guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
- Possess an active armed guard card or license.
- Have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
