Job Summary
We are seeking a Line Cook to join the team at our busy restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment for delivering high quality dishes in a fast paced environment. As a Line Cook you will play a crucial role in food preparation, cooking and maintaining the standards of our kitchen. Your expertise will will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs or restrictions.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
- Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed at all times.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Experience in food service management is a plus.
- Familiarity with banquet service is beneficial for catering events.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A passion for culinary arts and commitment to continuous learning in the kitchen.
