Role snapshot

  • Title: Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Specialist
  • Location: Lexington, NC
  • Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM

What you’ll tackle

  • Hands-on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex production assets including welding robots, CNC machines, hydraulic presses, remote-controlled equipment movers, lifting jacks, cranes, motors, pumps, and related industrial systems.
  • Diagnose and service high- and low-voltage electrical systems (12V–480V), 3-phase power (480V), PLCs, motion control, motors, pumps, HVAC, welding machines, electric industrial vehicles, scissor lifts, switchboards, transformers, and drive units.
  • Coordinate and escort vehicle movements throughout the facility to support production flow.
  • Install, commission, and start up new equipment and lines.
  • Execute routine, scheduled PMs and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage and track spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.
  • Update and maintain technical documentation for equipment and processes.
  • Safely and proficiently use hand and power tools.
  • Fabricate fixtures, racks, and prototypes as needed.
  • Earn and maintain site-required certifications (e.g., cranes, forklifts, equipment movers, fall protection, Arc Flash, and other facility-specific tools/equipment).
  • Accurately complete work orders, quality documentation, and labor hour reporting.
  • Meet quality, workmanship, schedule, and labor targets with limited supervision.
  • Coach and mentor peers by explaining procedures and best practices.
  • Champion safety and PPE usage; help uphold a healthy, safe work environment.
  • Keep your area clean, organized, and audit-ready; perform other duties as assigned.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years maintaining and repairing industrial equipment/systems.
  • 4+ years with 3-phase power (480V), PLCs, motor/motion control, and 12V–480V electrical systems.
  • 2+ years hands-on with CNC machines, lathes, or machining.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, loop drawings, hydraulic diagrams, P&IDs, and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Expert troubleshooting across electrical and mechanical domains.
  • Basic English proficiency for reading instructions and effective communication.

Physical demands

  • Standing, climbing, crouching, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Lift items over 40 lbs as needed.
  • Comfort working at heights and outdoors in varying weather.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Compensation & schedule

  • Base pay: $34.50/hr – $38.83/hr in Lexington, NC.
  • Shift differential: additional 10%.
  • Final pay may vary based on budget as well as your experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
