Entry Level Construction Project Engineer
D.H. Griffin Wrecking Co., Inc. is a nationally recognized leader in demolition and environmental services, known for its commitment to safety, quality, and innovation. Based in Greensboro, NC, our Environmental Division is seeking an Entry Level Construction Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals with a related degree to gain hands-on experience in project management within the demolition and construction industry. The role offers comprehensive training, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to work on impactful projects across North Carolina and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all phases of project management for demolition and environmental projects
- Support project planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure timely and successful completion
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate project progress
- Contribute to the implementation of safety and quality initiatives
- Participate in company committees and provide recommendations for process improvements
- Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports using Microsoft Office and project management software
- Travel to project sites within North Carolina and to other states as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as engineering, construction management, or environmental science)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) and project management software
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute new ideas
- Willingness to travel for project assignments
