What you’ll do

• Translate RFQs into precise estimates for new manufacture, repair, and services.
• Provide Sales with total variable cost, labor hours, and lead-time assumptions to build accurate proposals.
• Review drawings, BOMs, GD&T, and specs; identify gaps and request missing information.
• Document exceptions when customer requirements exceed current capabilities.
• Create and maintain quote packages in Google Drive; build time studies using setup/machining formulas aligned to our processes.
• Analyze prior jobs in ERP/CRM (Salesforce) to validate assumptions and improve estimates.
• Source vendor quotes for materials and coordinate outside services/parts we don’t produce in-house.
• Issue quick-turn “ballpark” quotes when inputs are limited, noting assumptions and exceptions.
• Partner with Production to incorporate lessons learned and update quotes.
• Alert Sales to complexity that may warrant labor-rate adjustments.
• Provide cross-coverage for Procurement as needed.

Schedule

On-site, Kings Mountain plant. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

What sets you apart

• Self-starter who prioritizes effectively and meets deadlines with minimal oversight.
• Highly organized with strong conceptual and administrative skills.
• Collaborative communicator across administrative and manufacturing functions.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications; confident with BOMs and GD&T.
• CAD-literate for quotation sketches.
• Hands-on understanding of manual/CNC machining, tolerances, and efficient methods.
• Technical familiarity with fluid film bearings and rotating equipment manufacturing/repair.
• Comfortable with Google Sheets (including formulas), Gmail, documents, virtual meeting tools, and shared calendars; ERP/CRM (Salesforce) experience.
• Physically able to navigate the plant and yard, climb stairs to inventory/drawing storage, and work in tight quarters when needed.
