Details About the Opportunity

• Medical Director for Hematology/Oncology services at UNC Cancer Care at Rockingham
• Board Certified Hematologist/Oncologist in Ambulatory clinic, Monday-Friday (8 am-5 pm)
• Full-time, 1.0 FTE
• Infusion services on-site requiring supervision, Pharmacy on-site for sterile compounding
• Shared evening and weekend call (virtual, not requiring physical presence on-site)
• Excellent clinic staff and leadership support provided by UNC Hospitals, North Carolina Cancer Hospital
• UNC Physicians Network employed position embedded at a UNC Cancer Hospital in Eden, NC

Organization

UNC Cancer Care at Rockingham- a service of UNC Hospitals is located on the campus of UNC Health Rockingham. Offering medical oncology, infusion, and radiation oncology services. Many additional services are offered at neighboring UNC Rockingham Health Care. The ability to receive care locally is a convenience and a comfort to patients and their families.

UNC Health Rockingham- is a 108-bed community hospital in Eden, NC dedicated to preserving excellent and compassionate care close to home. They joined the UNC family in 2018. The hospital serves residents of Rockingham, Guilford, Caswell, Pittsylvania and Henry counties.

UNC Physician Network- With more than 90 practices and over 300 providers throughout the state, UNC Physicians Network is providing a full range of primary care and specialty services to people in 14 counties throughout North Carolina. Through operational support that helps each practice provide complete care to patients, UNCPN makes the expertise and empathy of the UNC Health Care system available to more of North Carolina.
