Senior Survey Manager - PLS | Civil Engineering & DOT Projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of multiple field crews and office technicians.
• Oversee QA/QC, budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
• Conduct roadway and utility corridor surveys in coordination with VDOT and local municipalities.
• Support regional business growth through proposals and client development.
• Mentor and coach staff through performance planning and one-on-one sessions.

Required Qualifications:

• Active PLS license (Professional Land Surveyor).
• 12+ years of land surveying experience, including 5+ years supervising multiple crews.
• Extensive experience with DOT and municipal civil projects .
• Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D .
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local survey regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

• Subsurface utility locating/designating experience.
• Experience with LiDAR , aerial mapping, or sUAS operations.
• Bachelor's degree in surveying or civil technology.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary $85,000 – $145,000, based on experience and licensure.
• Sign-on bonus $5,000 – $10,000 (relocation eligible).
