Python Developer

Description

Responsible for designing and delivering scalable full stack solutions with a strong emphasis on API development, object storage integration, and data-driven features. Defines and implements robust backend services using Python frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, Django) and builds modern front-end experiences with React or Angular. Ensures architectural scalability and future-proofing by designing modular systems that support evolving business needs. Collaborates across teams to integrate AI/ML models into production systems, leveraging data science techniques for intelligent features. Oversees containerized deployments using OpenShift and Kubernetes, and enforces best practices for CI/CD, security, and performance optimization. Contributes to platform automation and infrastructure reliability, while applying prompt engineering and LLM-assisted workflows to accelerate development. Partners with stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and security policies. Supports the product roadmap by delivering high-quality, maintainable code and mentoring team members on full stack and API best practices. Full stack Python with AI engineering Angular/React front end experience Building AI Operational knowledge of high to build and implement gen AI How to move models around in a safe and secure way and the models people are using are the models that were approved – those sets of APIs are things they are building to optimize and operate Full stack – most API development have to have endpoints ready for UI to pick up Need to know how to move data between middleware and end points – system to system linkage – less UI focused, more middleware and backend where they are building the APIs The more knowledge they have around how models are implemented is the differentiator Ideally this person will be hands on, will have come from an object oriented programming background and then moved into data science/AI

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
