Locum MD (Medical Doctor);DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Emergency Medicine (Nights)
Description
This contract, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to provide critical care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the health and safety of our community during the night hours.
As a Locum MD/DO in Emergency Medicine, you will be at the forefront of patient care, diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions in a dynamic setting. You will work alongside a team of skilled professionals, contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality medical services. This role is essential in supporting our staffing needs and maintaining the continuity of care for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to patients in a timely manner
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients
- Administer appropriate treatment and medications
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other medical professionals
- Document patient care activities accurately in medical records
- Respond to emergencies and critical situations effectively
- Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care
- Adhere to hospital protocols and procedures at all times
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of operation
- Prior experience in emergency medicine preferred
- Strong clinical and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Flexibility to work night shifts as required
Schedule: 7p-7a, specific dates
Annual Volume: 32,000 patients
Support Staff: PAs
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified
