Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and managing general accounting functions, including the preparation of financial reports, account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This position will play a key role in supporting the overall financial health of the organization and will require a strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Manage and perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all discrepancies are identified and corrected.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
• Support the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation to external auditors.
• Review and maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings as needed.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification preferred, but not required.
• 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
