Leasing Consultant
Join a dynamic property management team as a Leasing Consultant in Mount Holly, NC. As the first point of contact for prospective residents, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring a positive leasing experience. Responsibilities
- Greet all guests and prospective residents, providing outstanding customer service and a professional first impression.
- Show available units to prospective residents and highlight the features and benefits of the community.
- Prepare and process lease agreements and related documentation in accordance with company policies and Fair Housing requirements.
- Guide prospects through the application process, collect deposits, and ensure timely follow-up on all leads.
- Coordinate with the Property Manager to process and submit applications for approval.
- Ensure apartments are ready for move-in and conduct new resident orientations.
- Assist with resident renewals, including preparing and sending renewal letters.
- Maintain accurate records of resident and prospect information using property management software.
- Support marketing efforts by posting and updating online and social media advertisements to maximize property visibility.
- Assist with planning and executing resident and community events.
- Open and maintain the leasing office, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for guests.
- Respond to phone and email inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and policy violations as needed.
- Close out work orders and follow up with residents to ensure satisfaction.
- Comply with all company policies, Fair Housing, ADA, and other applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least two years of leasing or relevant sales experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), and property management software (Yardi experience is a plus).
- Ability to understand and explain lease documents and property features.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.
- Ability to commute to Mount Holly, NC 28120.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, climb stairs, walk the property, and stand or sit for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
Compensation
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience , plus leasing commissions and the potential to earn quarterly bonuses. Full-time, 40 hours per week.
