Insurance Coordinator

EastPoint Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Insurance Coordinator. This position is responsible for verifying insurance and prior authorization, creating service estimates, assisting patients with questions regarding coverage and financial responsibility, and will serve as a back up to the front desk serving patients and answering phones.

You will be a great fit if:

• You have a high school diploma or equivalent (required).
• You have experience in a related field.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office.
• You have experience with insurance management systems, practice management software, or EMR systems.
• You have a professional and service-oriented approach to dealing with the needs of patients, staff, and others.
• You are detail-oriented.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• You have the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage a fast-paced office environment.

Your typical duties in this position will include:

• Verifying patient insurance coverage, eligibility, benefits, and prior authorizations.
• Creating service estimates and financial responsibility forms.
• Submitting authorizations in a timely manner.
• Explaining insurance benefits and financial responsibilities to patients, assisting them with questions and resolving concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Providing back-up to the front desk as needed answering phones, checking patients in and out, and scheduling in-office patients.
• Other duties as assigned.
