We are looking for a water mitigation technician for a restoration company. The Water Mitigation Technician is responsible for responding to residential and commercial water damage emergencies, performing mitigation services, and preventing further damage. This role involves water extraction, demolition, drying, cleaning, and monitoring affected areas using specialized equipment and industry-approved techniques. The technician ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to water damage emergencies and service calls

• Perform water extraction using pumps, vacuums, and other mitigation equipment

• Set up and monitor drying equipment, including air movers and dehumidifiers

• Remove and dispose of damaged materials such as drywall, insulation, carpet, and flooring

• Perform demolition and basic cleanup as needed

• Monitor moisture levels using meters and thermal imaging equipment

• Document job progress, moisture readings, and services performed

• Maintain accurate job records, photos, and reports

• Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and team members

• Follow company safety procedures and industry standards (IICRC guidelines)

• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas

• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency response services

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly

• Ability to work in confined spaces, heights, and physically demanding environments

• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts

• Strong work ethic and reliability

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
