Lead Control Systems Engineer - Delta V (Holly Springs)

TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a Lead Control Systems Engineer to drive the design, implementation, and optimization of Emerson DeltaV control systems. This role partners with clients and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-performance automation solutions supporting efficiency, quality, and operational excellence. You will be involved from requirements definition through commissioning and qualification, with ownership across the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure distributed control systems (DCS), ensuring integration with existing infrastructure

• Lead end-to-end project execution from design through commissioning in compliance with GMP and industry standards

• Provide technical leadership to engineers and technicians, including mentorship and oversight of deliverables

• Troubleshoot and optimize control system performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives

• Develop lifecycle documentation, redline P&IDs, electrical panel layouts, and wiring diagrams

• Collaborate with clients to define requirements, deliver solutions, and support project execution and business development

Qualifications

• 2–8 years of experience in automation and control systems engineering

• Strong expertise in Emerson DeltaV and Windows-based control platforms

• Solid understanding of control system architecture, design, and programming

• Experience with troubleshooting and optimization of complex automation systems

• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Chemical Engineering, or related field

• Hands-on experience with current Emerson DeltaV technology

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
