Electro‑Mechanical Maintenance Specialist (PLC/Instrumentation)

We’re hiring in Morehead City, NC. If you enjoy solving tough equipment problems, working with PLCs, and calibrating instrumentation, this role is for you.

What you will do
- Interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics to troubleshoot control systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Calibrate analyzers and field instrumentation for accurate process control.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery.
- Read blueprints; handle mechanical assembly and construction tasks.
- Execute Lockout/Tagout, then repair presses, metal shears, and related mechanical systems.
- Identify root causes of mechanical issues and implement durable fixes.
- Conduct safety and compliance inspections.
- Collaborate with peers to boost reliability and throughput.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and equipment condition.
- Assist in installing and commissioning new equipment.
- Participate in ongoing training to sharpen your skill set.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree/certification preferred).
- 2+ years of PLC experience.
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance.
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Comfort reading technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call.
