Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work hybrid (mix of onsite and remote) with our customer in McLeansville, NC. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

• As an ECAD Librarian and PCB Designer for Undersea Systems, you'll support CCA development for electronics used in high-reliability undersea communication systems.
• Documentation capture including (bill of material parts lists, ODB++ digital fabrication packages, 3D model generation).
• Create and maintain electrical schematics using Xpedition Designer.
• Define components, symbols, and libraries.
• Perform circuit validation and electrical rule checks (ERC).
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to understand design requirements.
• Translate schematics into PCB layouts.
• Component placement considering signal integrity, thermal, and mechanical constraints.
• Route high-speed, RF, analog, and digital signals.
• Manage multilayer stack-ups.
• design rules (DRC) and ensure compliance with standards.
• Create and maintain component libraries (symbols, footprints, 3D models).
• Ensure library data accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Manage part parameters and lifecycle data.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $58.60/hr

Hours: M-F, 9x80 schedule (3 days per week onsite, 2 days per week remote)

Length: 12-month contract with possible opportunity of extension

Job Requirements

Here's what you'll need:

• Associate Degree
• Minimum 2 years of experience in using Mentor Graphics Xpedition.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with library management practices.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with ECAD/PCB layout design processes.

Here's what sets you apart from other candidates:

• Knowledge of one or more PCB design tools from the Mentor Graphics suite (xDM, Xpedition. DXdatabook, BoardStation, Hyperlynx),or Altium
• Experience with library management practices including Xpedition parts request system, Footprint Expert Enterprise 23, 3D model creation using Solidworks NX or CREO, and Hyperlynx.
• Circuit design and hands on prototyping experience.
• Basic knowledge of IPC and manufacturing standards.
• In depth knowledge of CCA fabrication techniques. Ability to communicate with suppliers when asked to provide clarification on design documentation packages.
• Experience with schematic capture in Xpedition is valuable.
• Documentation capture including (bill of material parts lists, ODB++ digital fabrication packages, 3D model generation)

• Requires an Active Secret Clearance.
