Physician Assistant, Family Medicine Clinic
We’re looking for a compassionate and experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join a collaborative outpatient healthcare team in Monroe, North Carolina . This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment while supporting positive health outcomes through evidence-based treatment and patient education.
The Physician Assistant will evaluate patients, diagnose medical conditions, and manage treatment plans while working under physician supervision. This position involves interpreting diagnostic results, prescribing medications, and supporting preventive healthcare initiatives for patients of all ages.
This opportunity is ideal for an advanced practice provider with experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or urgent care who values patient-centered care and collaborative clinical teamwork.
Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations including medical history review, physical exams, and clinical assessments
• Diagnose and manage acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnostic findings and evidence-based guidelines
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory work and imaging studies
• Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with North Carolina practice regulations
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff to maintain efficient patient care delivery
• Provide patient education regarding preventive health, medication adherence, and chronic disease management
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• Support patient care for both routine outpatient visits and urgent care cases
Requirements
• Active and unrestricted North Carolina Physician Assistant license or eligibility for licensure
• NCCPA certification (PA-C) required
• Experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning and diagnostic decision-making abilities
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare staff
