About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Java Full Stack Developer responsible for coordinating and delivering technology-related activities and resources in support of business initiatives. This person will be supporting the Enterprise Risk Audit Finance Technology (ERAFT) group.

The Intraday Liquidity team within ERAFT Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technology solutions and support for Corporate Treasury Users. Intraday liquidity is a firm’s ability to meet its payment obligations throughout the business day, not just at the end of the day. Our system processes half a million transactions daily in a Realtime data pipeline in order to provide up to date balance information for our business.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 7+ years of Microservices application development using Java Spring Boot
  • 7+ years of experience in CICD tools, such as GitHub
  • 5+ years of experience in Kafka
  • 7+ years of experience in SQL database like Oracle, SQL Server
  • 5+ years of experience in Redis
  • 7+ years of experience in Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)
  • 7+ years of experience in Open Shift Platform (OCP)
  • 2+ years of experience with NetApp
  • 2+ years of experience with Python
  • 5+ years of experience in Finance/Treasury Domain
  • Masters' degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge or experience of containerization related management stacks with Docker, Swarm or Kubernetes
  • Working knowledge of Dremio
  • Experience with handling and processing different Payment Rails systems including ACH, Wires, Checks, Instant Payment etc. transactions
  • Working experience with Swift/ISO format messages
  • Hands-on experience with leading Tech stack migration effort
