McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is currently searching for a Full-time Program Development Coordinator to work in Charlotte, NC. The Program Development Coordinator supports the design, development, and implementation of new healthcare and community health initiatives that advance McLeod Centers for Wellbeing’s mission. This position works cross-functionally with internal departments and collaborates with executive leadership and external stakeholders. The Program Development Coordinator leads aspects of program planning, proposal development, and pilot implementation, including contributing to grant writing and funding strategies.
How will you help us achieve our mission? You will:
- Lead the development and execution of structured project plans, including timelines, logic models, and outcome metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, using strong project management skills to prioritize effectively, allocate resources, and meet deadlines.
- Proactively identify programmatic needs and opportunities for innovation, bringing forward well-developed strategic proposals with minimal oversight.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure program designs are feasible, financially sound, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings, focus groups, and engagement activities to gather input, build buy-in, and ensure shared ownership of initiatives.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate pilot programs—including oversight of logistics, staff coordination, progress tracking, and outcome reporting.
- Contribute to ongoing performance measurement, quality improvement, and sustainability planning across new and evolving programs.
- Support the development of grant proposals, concept notes, and funding applications in collaboration with internal teams and contribute to the implementation and compliance efforts for awarded grants.
- Assist in research and assessment of emerging health and community needs through data analysis, needs assessments, and environmental scans.
What are the qualifications needed for this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, Nonprofit Management, or related field—or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare or nonprofit program development, strategic project coordination, or operational planning.
- Experience working with diverse populations and historically underserved communities preferred.
What we offer you as an employee:
- Balanced Lifestyle: Enjoy a 37.5-hour work week to support a better work/life balance, with most programs closing at noon and employees off by 12:30pm. Have your afternoons free!
- Comprehensive Healthcare Coverage: Access medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) options.
- Employer Paid Benefits: Benefit from 100% employer-paid benefits including short and long-term disability, group term life insurance, and an Employee Assistance Program.
- Financial Security: Secure your future with a 401(k) plan, with company matches up to 3% after 90 days of employment.
- Generous Leave Policies: Enjoy paid time off, sick leave accrual, and additional benefits such as bereavement, jury duty, and parent-child educational leave.
- Holiday Benefits: Celebrate 9 paid observed holidays and receive 1 floating holiday to use at your convenience. You will also receive a paid day off during your birthday month as our way of recognizing and celebrating you as a valued member of our team.
- Student Loan Forgiveness: As an employee for a non-profit organization, you qualify for Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) to assist with your student loans.
- Continuous Growth Opportunities: Invest in your professional development with ongoing support and free continuing education opportunities across multiple disciplines. We also offer top-tier individual and group clinical supervision for professionals seeking CADC and LCAS licensures.
Research indicates that women and underrepresented groups tend to apply for jobs only when they believe they meet 100% of the qualifications. At McLeod Centers, we encourage you to challenge this statistic and apply. It's rare for anyone to meet every qualification. We look forward to hearing from you!
