Quality Inspector - North Carolina

Summary/Objective:

The role of the Quality Inspector is responsible to for investigating and resolving product and process quality issues at the facility. Must adhere to established safety and efficiency standards.

Essential Functions:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis of customer returns and complaints and determines acceptable/unacceptable actions.
• Input and analyze scrap and rework.
• Create and update shop floor work instructions.
• Partner with suppliers on quality issues.
• Provide metrics to plant manager.
• Participate in Quality Management System implementation and audits.
• Utilize personal protective equipment and continuously adheres to safety guidelines .
• Participate in cross training opportunities to maximize operation effectiveness.

Supervisory Responsibility:

• Not applicable.

Work Environment:

• Mixture of office and well-lit manufacturing shop environment with exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold), dust, odors, fumes. Noise level is moderate to loud.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently required to lift 10 - 50lbs, sit and/or stand for long periods of time, use close and far vision skills.
• Occasionally required to walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• Full Time 40/hr.

Travel:

• No travel required.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associates degree in a technical field highly preferred.
• 1 -3 years’ experience in similar role.
• Strong computer software skills; ability to learn new systems and adapt.
• Excellent communication skills.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

• Ability to function in a high paced environment.
• Group presentations.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish highly preferred.
