Location: Mobile role – Triangle area (western)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22–$28/hour (based on experience) + overtime (time and a half)

Includes: Take-home company service truck

Position Overview

We’re looking for a dependable, self-motivated technician with strong hands-on experience in vehicle repair and proven diagnostic ability. This is a mobile role where you’ll work independently out of a fully equipped take-home service truck, handling a mix of roadside breakdowns, repairs, and preventative maintenance.

This role is ideal for someone who wants variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to grow into more advanced diesel and heavy equipment work overtime.

What You’ll Do

· Perform mobile diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel and gas vehicles (light, medium, and heavy-duty)

· Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues (diagnostics are a core part of the job)

· Respond to roadside breakdowns (no-starts, brakes, PMs, minor repairs, etc.)

· Communicate clearly and professionally with customers on-site and occasionally by phone

· Accurately document work performed and parts used

· Maintain organization and readiness of your service truck

Schedule & Work Expectations

· Full-time role with overtime opportunities (time and a half)

· 40 hour work week with opportunities for overtime

· Weekend work is part of the job (especially Saturdays)

· Schedules may be adjusted (example: Tuesday–Saturday workweek)

· Some on-call rotation as the team grows

What We’re Looking For

· Solid hands-on mechanical experience (diesel strongly preferred)

· Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues independently (required)

· Experience using diagnostic tools and scan equipment

· Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision

· Strong work ethic and willingness to work overtime and weekends

· Good communication and customer service skills

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

· Must supply your own hand tools

Nice to Have:

· Mobile repair or roadside service experience

· Fleet maintenance background

· ASE certifications or similar

Work Environment

· Outdoor, all-weather conditions

· Frequent lifting, bending, and working under vehicles
