Cardiac Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Greensboro, North Carolina (27401) – North Carolina nursing jobs
• Setting: Cardiac Telemetry Unit (3 East CHF Telemetry)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 30, 2025 – December 30, 2025)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1820-$1870
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; must work Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
• Floating: May float to other units or campuses as needed
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Unit Size: 30 beds, average nurse-to-patient ratio 1:5

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Telemetry RN experience
• First-time travel nurses welcome!
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Strong clinical skills in cardiac and respiratory care (CHF, MI, ACS, arrhythmias, COPD, pneumonia)
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Ability to complete compliance requirements by deadline
• Must not reside within 50 miles of facility (no local candidates accepted)

Cardiac Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac and respiratory conditions, including heart failure, NSTEMI, COPD, and pneumonia
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac telemetry and arrhythmias
• Administer medications and titrate cardiac and insulin drips as ordered
• Perform central line care, blood product administration, and feeding tube management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and more)
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EHR
• Float to other hospital units or campuses as needed
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including attendance and timely completion of required modules
