Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mainframe (Cobol) - Intermediate professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe technologies, particularly COBOL, and will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting mainframe applications. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL and related technologies.
• Analyze and troubleshoot application issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements.
• Ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of mainframe systems.
• Document technical specifications and maintain system documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Provide support for production systems, including on-call support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in mainframe application development using COBOL.
• Strong knowledge of JCL, VSAM, and CICS.
• Experience with mainframe debugging and performance tuning tools.
• Familiarity with database management systems such as DB2.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Pay Range: $60 - $75

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
