Job Title: Logistics Coordinator (Medical Device)
Location: Durham, NC (Onsite 5 days/week)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (flexible) + occasional on-call

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement of critical medical device products supporting scheduled and urgent surgical procedures. This role acts as the central point of coordination across multiple product lines, ensuring instrument trays, implants, and related materials are delivered accurately and on time. This is a fast-paced, high-visibility role requiring strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly adapt to last-minute changes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate logistics for time-sensitive surgical shipments across multiple product lines
• Plan and execute shipments based on weekly surgery schedules
• Coordinate multiple shipments per case, including overnight and urgent requests
• Monitor shipments and adjust logistics plans in real time
• Create shipping labels and track deliveries to ensure on-time arrival
• Communicate regularly with sales reps regarding shipment status and updates
• Build relationships with courier services and shipping partners (FedEx, etc.)
• Coordinate with distributors to ensure product availability
• Handle inbound calls and emails related to logistics and shipment issues
• Assist with pick/pack/ship activities when needed (approx. 10%)
• Troubleshoot delivery issues and proactively resolve delays

Requirements:

• 2+ years of logistics or shipping coordination experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience coordinating shipments with carriers (FedEx, UPS, courier services)
• Ability to manage time-sensitive and urgent requests
• Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week
• Willingness to be occasionally available after hours
• Strong technical aptitude; ERP experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Medical device or healthcare logistics experience
• Experience supporting field sales teams
• Experience coordinating overnight or same-day shipments
• Familiarity with ERP systems
• Experience with pick/pack/ship or warehouse support
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
