Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.Draw Line Leader Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
• Prioritize workflow/ ware flow and ensure equipment area staffing meet the production demand.
• Make sure the Line is supplied and ready for the next shift • Coordinate any stores orders or raw materials from material handlers
•Act as communications hub for the team, disseminating pertinent and timely information through Pass downs.
• Monitor Draw select and utilization performance
• Enter Maximo work orders with any T/S item needed
• Schedule and coordinate breaks within the teammates working your line.
• Work with Floor Leader with any staffing gaps that need to be covered from your line. (Vacation, call-offs. Etc.)
• Act as communication point of contact for other Line leaders or Floor Leaders
• Continue functioning as a Fiber making PA.
Applicant Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Required:
• Must be Draw certified
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities while working in an irregular work environment with changing priorities and multiple tasks.
• Must have the ability to function independently with minimal supervision and with strong attention to detail and follow up/completion of assigned action items.
• Must maintain certification and function as Fibermaking PA on shift.
• Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
• 12hr rotating shift schedule, overtime required as needed

The range for this position is hourly rate - hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
