**Pharmacy Intern**
**Location:** This role enables associates to work virtually full-time, with the exception of required in-person training sessions, providing maximum flexibility and autonomy. This approach promotes productivity, supports work-life integration, and ensures essential face-to-face onboarding and skill development. The ideal candidate will reside within a commutable distance from our PulsePoint locations.

The **Pharmacy Intern** will be responsible for the interpretation and data entry of moderately complex prescriptions, prior authorization processing, and troubleshooting adjudication issues.
**How you will make an impact:**
+ Assists in developing and configuring prior authorization decision trees in the workflow tool
+ Participates in quality assurance feedback from pharmacists of prior authorization decision trees within the workflow tool
+ Assists in implementing clinical programs within the prior authorization space
+ Verifies member, provider, and drug information and inputs data for the prior authorization pharmacists.
+ Educates providers on pharmacy-based rules related to prescriptions and medication resources or assistance programs.
+ Processes prior authorization requests from physicians' offices and ensures compliance with Medicare and Medicaid requirements; inform relevant parties of all prior authorization determinations.
**Minimum requirements:**
+ Ability to work 20 per week for the duration of the internship
+ Currently enrolled in a Pharmacy program at an accredited college or university.
+ A current, active, unrestricted Pharmacist Intern license in applicable state(s) required.
**Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:**
+ 1st year PharmD students are preferred.
+ Prior experience working in pharmacy retail strongly preferred
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
+ Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral
+ Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills
+ Excellent Public Speaking and Presentation skills
