Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Schedule/Hours:
- Weekend rotation: every other
- No call required for travelers
- Travelers work 75% of holidays
What you'll do:
- Deliver specialized care to patients with complex conditions such as stroke, heart failure, respiratory illness, GI disorders, liver failure, and more in an 11-bed PCU setting.
- Collaborate with a supportive team including CNAs, phlebotomy, respiratory therapy, and 24/7 virtual nursing and intensivist resources.
- Float as needed within the region to provide expertise across various hospitals—ensuring flexibility and dynamic experience.
- Maintain proficiency using advanced technologies: EPIC EMR, Alaris IV systems, Omnicell med dispensing, and Phillips monitoring equipment.
- Independently interpret cardiac rhythms, manage critical care drips (Insulin, Nitroglycerin, Cardene, etc.), initiate PIVs, manage chest tubes, drains, PCA pumps, and deliver trach care.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license; BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Minimum 18 months of recent PCU RN experience.
- Strong clinical skills: gtt management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, advanced device and drain management, NGT/PEG tube care.
- Comfortable floating between regional facilities as needed.
- Adaptability and collaborative spirit; resource team experience a plus.
