Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 educational opportunity is available for Teachers specializing in Visual Impairments. This contract position is based in Jacksonville, NC, and is scheduled for the upcoming school year.

Key Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure in Visual Impairment education
• Experience working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade who have visual impairments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' needs
• Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive instructional materials for visually impaired students

Location:

• Jacksonville, North Carolina

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments across K-12 grade levels
• Conduct assessments and evaluations relevant to visual impairment education
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to facilitate inclusive learning environments
• Train and advise staff and families on strategies and resources for visually impaired students
• Maintain accurate records and comply with educational standards and regulations
