Hot Gas Path Engineer

Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Hot Gas Path Engineer to join their team based out of Greenville, SC. In support of the fleet of gas turbines, the hot gas path (HGP) engineer will be responsible for building 2D and 3D finite element models of turbine components; running thermal, structural, modal or forced response analysis with thermal and mechanical loads followed by lifing (LCF, HCF, creep, oxidation, fracture mechanics), postprocessing of modal results (frequency/Campbell diagram creation); and presenting in Design Reviews. The engineer will work in PowerPoint and review 2D & 3D models. Emphasis on ANSYS classic is preferred as this is the key tool that will be used. The HGP engineer will also heavily support root cause analysis (RCA) work.
