Job Description
Delivery Driver – Duties and Responsibilities
Safely operate an Amazon-branded delivery vehicle in full compliance with Amazon’s safety standards and company operating procedures, both on the road and within Amazon facilities.
Deliver between 150 and 200 packages daily to residential and commercial addresses along assigned routes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and care.
Weekend availability is required.
Utilize a company-provided smartphone for GPS navigation, route management, package scanning, and customer communication.
Full-time schedules typically consist of 4 workdays per week ; part-time roles are 3 workdays per week .
Standard shifts are approximately 10 hours per day , depending on route demands and package volume.
Provide courteous, professional, and customer-oriented service during all delivery interactions, positively representing both Amazon and Compass Logistics Management.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in the United States and at least 21 years of age with a valid U.S. driver’s license.
Must maintain a clean and safe driving record and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
Availability to work at least one weekend day per week is required.
Proficient in using handheld technology for route navigation, package scanning, and delivery documentation.
Physically capable of walking for extended periods, climbing stairs, and entering/exiting the delivery vehicle multiple times per day—with or without reasonable accommodation.
Willingness to support overall team performance, including assisting with achieving key metrics such as 100% delivery completion and other performance benchmarks.
Strong team orientation with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
Must consistently meet delivery performance standards, including delivering approximately 20–30 packages per hour.
Comfortable operating a delivery vehicle and working in a variety of weather conditions.
Promptly report any vehicle issues, safety concerns, or route obstacles to the management team to support smooth daily operations and uphold safety standards.
