Technical Support Engineer

Join a team that tackles some of the toughest technical challenges in the heavy truck industry. As a Technical Support Engineer embedded with Volvo Trucks in Greensboro, NC, you’ll be the go-to expert for resolving product issues affecting Class 8 powertrain, chassis, and electronic systems—directly supporting dealers, service teams, and field stakeholders across North America.

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose complex product issues using advanced data acquisition and analysis tools

• Provide expert support to dealers and markets for Volvo and Mack trucks

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement containment actions

• Deliver technical solutions aligned with NA workshop repair practices

• Travel as needed to support market-critical customer concerns

• Collaborate across engineering, quality, and service support functions

What You Bring:

• 8+ years of relevant experience in technical support or heavy vehicle systems

• Expertise in powertrain, chassis, and vehicle electronics

• Deep knowledge of Volvo and Mack diagnostic platforms and service tools

• Strong foundation in mechanical/electrical systems engineering

• Proficiency in CANalyzer, Tech Tool, JPRO, and similar diagnostic tools

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)

• Ability to communicate clearly with field teams and translate data into action
