Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina nursing jobs)
• Facility: Mission Hospital – Level III NICU
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 1/5/2026)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Unit Size: 51 beds, 120 staff members
• Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4
• EMR: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Navy blue
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680-$1730

NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Level III or higher NICU nursing experience (2 years preferred)
• Detail-oriented, organized, and strong clinical skills
• STABLE and NIC-RNC certifications preferred
• Ability to float to Pediatrics, PICU, and Mother Baby units (babies only) as needed

NICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU setting
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including RNs, respiratory therapists, and clinical support staff
• Perform and assist with NICU procedures and interventions
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Float to pediatric, PICU, and mother-baby units as required
