Job Overview

At Classic Packaging we print the images you see on food packaging every time you go into the store; we do this by using flexographic printing presses. A press requires a highly trained team of people to work well in conjunction with each other to ensure that products are printed efficiently and properly. The entry level position on this team is the press helper. The press helper assists the press operator with loading of printing plates, rolls of film and other general labor involved with the operation of the press.

Duties

• Loading rolls of raw material and unloading rolls of laminated materials.
• Retrieving raw materials with the use of pallet jack.
• Maintenance of the area around the lamination machine.
• Verification of the materials that are being printed are in accordance with the work order.

Required Skills

• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to take measurements in standard and metric.
• The ability to learn new skills and apply them across a range of applications.
• The ability to stand for an entire work shift (excluding breaks).
• Positive attitude with a mentality for teamwork and a focus on quality.

Hours

• 12-Hour rotating shifts, 3 days/4days a week paid 8 hrs. overtime with paid 30-minute lunch.
• No employee works more than three consecutive days
• 3-day weekend every other weekend
