Director of Test Technology
Job Description
We're looking for a leader to drive Renesas's global test technology initiatives . In this role, you'll be the central point of collaboration, partnering with product groups and test operations teams to ensure our technology supports the company's strategic goals for profitability, growth, and a strong operational portfolio .
Responsibilities:
- Drive Test Technology harmonization to reduce test configurations consistent with Corporate targets enabling greater fungibility to drive cost reduction and enhance capacity.
- Interface into product lines within HPC, EP, A&C and PWR groups to identify emerging technologies and commercial targets for tester, handler, prober roadmaps.
- Define and execute test technology roadmap in support of corporate level roadmap that optimizes capability, commercial and operational aspects of production test thru liaison with technical leadership within product groups, operations, procurement, suppliers, vendors.
- Ensure infrastructure for test technology roadmap is enforced and in place at all production test sites working closely with test internal operations team.
- Lead industry bench-mark studies to ensure Renesas test roadmap is best in class for commercial, supply and technical metrics
- Collaborate with Renesas community to identify innovative and efficient production test techniques for MCUs, SOCs, power analog and mixed-signal ICs with sharing on approaches thru load board design, DFT, SW QA, WT/FT participation, SLT, strip-test, KGD, discretes, production BI, test flow optimization, test quality.
- Establish and maintain test cell database for power products on OED SharePoint (vendor relations, BD support, specifications on tester roadmap selection, ROI for investment, internal/OSAT optimization, technology roadmap executive reports.
- Drive Test Roadmap with OSATs to ensure visibility and alignment with production requirements
- Experience leading SWQA and Test IP development with focus on Test Solution Quality and Development Cycle time improvements
- Lead Initiatives with ATE Suppliers and drive them to support Renesas Roadmap
- Travel required to meet with production lines (primarily US/EU/UK/JPN), ATE vendors (primarily SJ) and OSATs (Primarily APAC).
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in semiconductor operations or engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proven track record in ATE (Automated Test Equipment) test development for mixed-signal ICs, along with a deep understanding of mixed-signal design blocks, topologies, and test concepts.
- Leadership & Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, prioritize, and make decisions under pressure within multi-site, multinational teams. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Leadership Experience: A proven history of technical leadership roles in semiconductor test, preferably with significant technical depth.
