Position Overview: Do you like to work alone? Are you experienced in giving all breeds their haircuts? Do you enjoy a challenging yet rewarding career where your paycheck is limited to your drive? If so, be a Mobile Dog Groomer for an established veteran-owned business. You will provide professional grooming services to dogs of all breeds and sizes. You will be driving a company vehicle to and from your appointments. You will ensure dogs are groomed to the highest standards in a safe and caring environment. Your role will involve performing various grooming tasks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the well-being of the pets in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
Grooming Services:
- Performing grooming tasks including bathing, brushing, drying, haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing.
- Use grooming tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Style dogs according to breed standards or owner preferences.
- Handle pets with care and patience, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Identify any signs of stress, anxiety, or health issues in pets and take appropriate action.
- Provide a calm and reassuring environment for pets during grooming sessions.
- Consult with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and preferences.
- Offer professional advice on pet care and grooming maintenance.
- Address any questions or concerns from pet owners regarding grooming services.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming area.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent the spread of disease and ensure the well-being of pets.
- Regularly clean and disinfect grooming tools and equipment.
- Keep accurate records of grooming services provided, including any observations about the pet's health or behavior.
- Schedule and confirm grooming appointments.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on the latest grooming techniques and trends.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure repeat business and client satisfaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification from a recognized grooming school or program is preferred.
- Previous experience as a dog groomer or in a similar role is A MUST.
- Strong knowledge of different dog breeds and their grooming needs.
- Excellent animal handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy pets if necessary.
- Clean driving record and able to drive a Ford E450 that looks like a small school bus. No CDL is required.
- Work is performed in a grooming bus from a company called Waggin' Tails.
- Exposure to animals, cleaning chemicals, and grooming equipment.
- May require weekend or evening work based on client needs.

We currently serve over 200 clients and 300 pets per month, operating 7 days a week.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Mobile Dog Groomer to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity for a groomer who loves working with dogs and enjoys the freedom and flexibility of a mobile grooming environment. Youll be traveling to clients' homes, providing high-quality grooming services, and ensuring the best care for their pets. In return, youll enjoy a generous compensation structure, with the potential to earn between $300 and $500 per day through commissions and tips.
Responsibilities:
- Mobile Grooming Services: Travel to client locations with our fully-equipped mobile grooming van to provide grooming services for dogs of all breeds and sizes.
- Grooming Services: Perform services such as bathing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, haircuts, and brushing based on the clients preferences.
- Customer Service: Build rapport with clients, ensuring a positive experience. Provide updates on the dogs grooming status and offer advice on pet care when necessary.
- Maintain Grooming Equipment: Regularly clean and maintain grooming tools and van equipment to ensure they are in top working condition.
- Follow Safety Protocols: Ensure all grooming procedures are done in a safe, gentle manner while prioritizing the dogs well-being.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate client records, including pet details, grooming history, and client preferences.
- Promote the Business: Help promote the business by offering excellent customer service and encouraging repeat business and referrals.
- Experience: Previous experience as a professional dog groomer preferred, but we will consider motivated individuals with grooming training.
- Skills: Proficient in grooming techniques for dogs of all breeds and sizes, including breed-specific cuts.
- Certification: Grooming certification is a plus, but not required.
- Communication: Excellent communication and customer service skills to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Drivers License: Valid drivers license and a clean driving record as you will be driving the mobile grooming van.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and handle dogs of various sizes and perform physical tasks related to grooming.
- Passion for Animals: A genuine love for working with dogs and providing excellent care.
