Electrical Engineer
Job Details:
My client is a top notch MEP and Civil Consulting Engineering firm. They are actively seeking a top notch Electrical Engineer with 6+ years of previous Consulting Engineering experience.
The MEP department is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE)with 6+ years of experience in electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm/systems design to support and expand our growing MEP division. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical design expertise, project leadership experience, and the ability to deliver innovative, code-compliant engineering solutions for educational, commercial, healthcare, industrial, and institutional facilities.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Prepare electrical design for large scale projects-industrial, institutional, office, retail, healthcare and other
- Apply design knowledge in power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems, and equipment specifications and selections
- Analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective resolutions
- Interact with all engineering disciplines, construction project managers, and clients
- Work within company policy and OSHA Safety rules
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Must have advanced knowledge of electrical engineering and design and be familiar with applicable codes for building, energy, and construction standards and acceptable industry practices
- Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time
- 6+ years of formal experience in electrical system design for buildings
