Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kennel Assistant to join our team. As a Kennel Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall well-being of our furry pet guests. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Caring for Animals: Provide compassionate and attentive care to animals staying in the kennel facility, including feeding, grooming, walking, and ensuring their comfort and cleanliness.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the kennel area, including cleaning kennels, mopping floors, laundering bedding, and ensuring all areas are disinfected regularly.
- Observation and Reporting: Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the veterinary staff. Recognize and respond to signs of distress or illness in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Customer Service: Interact with pet owners, providing updates on their animals' well-being and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Assist Veterinarians and Technicians: Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians as needed, including restraining animals during examinations and treatments.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting is preferred.
- Strong passion for animal welfare and a genuine love for animals.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments safely.
- Basic knowledge of animal behavior and health.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
