Pharmacist
Pharmacist
Essential Job Function:
- Interprets and follows physician instructions to deliver the correct care to the correct patient.
- Oversees and verifies prescription order entry, packaging and dispensing.
- Provides and monitors pharmacy driven protocols, drug utilization and medication-related information to healthcare professionals, patients and the public.
- Supervises pharmacy technicians.
- Precepts students.
- Collaborates with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to optimize medication therapy and ensure patient safety. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Education:
- Required: Doctor of Pharmacy or BSPharm
Experience:
- Required: 3 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Pharmacist in NC within 60 days of hire BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
