Trucking Dispatcher

Our client is a family-owned dry bulk transportation company founded in the early 1970s. Today, they operate a fleet of over 300 tractors and trailers, specializing in moving dry bulk products across all 48 U.S. states and Canada

Salary: Base salary of $65k-$80k (based on relevant experience), plus $10k bonus

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Dispatcher to join their team in Wadesboro, NC. Each dispatcher manages assigned customer accounts and coordinates drivers as part of a team handling over 600+ loads per week. This role requires excellent communication, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:
• Dispatch and coordinate drivers for assigned customer accounts.
• Monitor driver performance, location, and delivery schedules.
• Communicate regularly with drivers, customers, and internal departments.
• Plan and adjust driver schedules daily for maximum efficiency.
• Track load progress and resolve issues such as delays or breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and communication.
• Collaborate with dispatch team members to manage 600+ weekly loads.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:
• Dispatching or transportation/logistics experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; TMS/dispatch software experience a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate/Bachelor’s preferred).
