Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Patrol in Windsor, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and deliver customer service with integrity and teamwork. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card/license and a valid driver's license to support patrol coverage and response.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and the public by following site-specific policies, security-related procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
- Carry and maintain authorized duty gear in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements, including completing required checks, qualifications, and documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site staff and/or local emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas, including interior routes, exterior grounds, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or contraband movement.
- Control access at designated posts by verifying identification and/or credentials, monitoring authorized entry and exit, and completing detailed security-related reports and incident documentation.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card/license is required.
- A minimum of 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
