Workday Configuration Specialist

Job Summary

A growing banking and consumer lending organization is seeking a Workday Configuration Specialist to support Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation solutions in Charlotte, NC. This opportunity is ideal for a Workday professional with hands-on configuration experience who enjoys translating business needs into scalable system solutions.

This role offers the chance to partner closely with business stakeholders, HR technology teams, and cross-functional partners in a collaborative enterprise environment. The Workday Configuration Specialist will play an important role in improving compensation processes, supporting automated merit increase functionality, and helping deliver reliable Workday solutions that support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure, maintain, and support Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation functionality.
- Analyze, design, and enhance automated merit increase processes within Workday Compensation Review.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into Workday functional designs, scalable configurations, and proof-of-concept solutions.
- Coordinate configuration, testing, validation, and implementation activities for compensation-related solutions.
- Document business processes, requirements, data flows, user experiences, and solution outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $56.50 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Configure and support Workday Compensation solutions for enterprise business users.
- Analyze and improve Workday Compensation Review and merit increase functionality.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional Workday configurations.
- Support testing, validation, implementation, and issue resolution for Workday compensation solutions.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Workday configuration, HR systems, or enterprise software support.
- Hands-on experience with Workday Compensation configuration.
- Knowledge of Compensation Review and merit increase processes.
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
- Strong functional configuration, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting testing, implementation, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document processes, requirements, and data flows clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Workday Advanced Compensation is strongly preferred.
- Experience developing proof-of-concept configurations to validate functionality and business fit.
- Experience working in banking, consumer lending, financial services, or another highly regulated enterprise environment.
