Hampton Inn Hotel General Manager

New Construction Hampton Inn in the area of High Point, NC. The hotel should open within a couple of weeks.
Looking for an experienced hotel manager. Prior management experience in a hotel is required for this position. Prior Hilton experience preferred but will consider candidates with Hilton, IHG or Marriott experience.
GENERAL MANAGER:
Exciting opportunity to become an opening General Manager for a Hampton Inn & Suites
We are currently looking for a positive and energetic General Manager that can open and manage our Hampton Inn. Position starts immediately.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Supervise and develop the performance of all operating departments including, but not limited to: Technology, Reservations, Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, Security and Maintenance to insure the highest possible levels of guest satisfaction in a cost efficient manner.
- Physically tour and visually inspect property on a daily basis. Assure regular repair, upkeep, and overall general maintenance of the hotel and provide a system of on-going maintenance of facilities and equipment. Maintain an immaculately clean hotel and drive guest satisfaction scores up.
- Ensure all hotel policies and procedures are fully implemented and in compliance with brand standards in all departments, including safety, emergency guidelines, etc.
- Develop, implement, monitor and participate in a comprehensive sales and marketing plan that results in optimum rate and occupancy for the hotel. Meet or exceed established budgetary guidelines for the hotel.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all period-end financial statements and reports, and provide controls to ensure the proper handling and accounting for all hotel receipts.
- Efficiently and stringently manage payroll.
- Effective leadership skills with the ability to hire, train, coach, guide, reward and develop staff, with emphasis on continuous improvement in guest service quality.
- Maintain cordial and outstanding guest relations.
- Perform other tasks associated as necessary in order to achieve the financial performance and goals of the organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to work AM and PM shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with a top tier hotel chain
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel programs.
- Must be willing to pitch-in and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
- Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
