Unit Details

• Patient Ratio: 1:5–6
• Minimum Experience: 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required to float within scope and between like units as needed
• On-Call: Not required
• Block Scheduling: Manager's discretion

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Traveler Requirements

• Local Candidates: Not accepted within a 50-mile radius of Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
• Pending License: Not accepted.
• Requested Time Off (RTO): Subject to manager approval.
• Guaranteed Hours: Up to 2 call-offs are permitted during the 13-week assignment. After that, contracted hours are guaranteed.
• Interview Availability: Must be provided at the time of submission.

Special Policies

• Travelers must be away from the facility for 1 year before returning.
• Maximum of 2 contracts (one extension only). After completing 2 contracts, travelers must wait 6 months before returning.
