Job Summary:
The Acute Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN coordinates all aspects of patient care based on professional nursing standards and collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient, effective, and compassionate care. This travel position may require assignments outside the RN’s home state.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in accordance with clinical practice standards.

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital policy.

• Interpret diagnostic tests and integrate results into patient care plans.

• Formulate, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care .

• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to achieve desired patient outcomes.

• Provide patient and family education while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

• Accurately document and chart all observations, care activities, and communications.

• Report patient status and care updates to relevant healthcare personnel.

• Maintain a safe and supportive patient environment and respond promptly to emergencies.

Required Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

• Active RN licensure in the applicable state(s).

• Minimum 2 years of prior nursing experience.

• Current CPR certification .

• Annual physical examination.

• Two professional references from current or former supervisors.

• U.S. citizenship or proof of authorization to work in the U.S.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of nursing principles and clinical procedures.

• Ability to assess patient needs across all age groups .

• Proficiency in documentation and charting systems.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in acute or hospital-based settings .

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of growth and development principles through the lifespan.

• Ability to interpret diagnostic data and translate into care actions.

• Competency in repositioning, lifting, and assisting patients as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift, move, and reposition patients and equipment .

• Requires bending, walking, and the ability to respond rapidly to emergencies.

• Must possess visual and auditory acuity for patient assessment.

• May involve heavy lifting during patient evacuation or transfer.
