Precision CNC VMC/Lathe Shop-Floor Operator
Build Quality at Speed
Own the flow of parts from setup through in-process checks to a clean handoff—all while communicating clearly and keeping the floor running smoothly.
Key Outcomes
- Every job runs with a correct, up-to-date router/traveler attached.
- Shop paperwork is complete: updates, signatures, stamps, counts, labels, and non-conformance documentation.
- In-process inspections are performed and recorded; any deviation is escalated to supervision immediately.
- Machine cycles are monitored; malfunctions and out-of-tolerance conditions are identified early and reported to the Lead or Supervisor.
- Standard times are met consistently; blockers are surfaced quickly.
- Machines, tooling, parts, and work areas remain clean and production-ready.
- Company procedures and best machining practices are followed without exception.
- Environmental, health, and safety requirements and company policies are observed at all times.
- Assist the Lead and take on additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years operating CNC mills or lathes in production.
- ERP proficiency for entering job data and tracking work.
- Strong GD&T literacy, troubleshooting ability, and experience with production setups.
Tools & Tech
- 3–4 axis CNC VMCs (Haas, Okuma, Makino)
- CNC lathes for turning operations
