Automation SME

Akkodis is seeking an Automation SME for a Contract with a client in Raleigh, NC. The candidate must be highly proficient in Terraform to build reusable modules and automate resource deployments.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Automation SME job responsibilities include:

• Develop reusable and scalable Terraform modules for AWS services such as Organizations, VPC, IAM, and security components.

• Automate end‑to‑end provisioning of AWS resources while enforcing guardrails, governance standards, and security controls.

• Implement policy‑as‑code using OPA/Conftest and integrate automated compliance checks into deployment workflows.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

• Write and maintain automation scripts using Python and Bash to support infrastructure orchestration and operational tasks.

• Document automation frameworks, workflows, and provide knowledge transfer (KT) to operations and support teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 8–10 years of experience in cloud automation, Infrastructure‑as‑Code, and DevOps‑driven engineering roles.

• Strong hands‑on expertise in Terraform/Terragrunt, AWS automation, and building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

• Proficiency in Python/Bash scripting and experience implementing compliance automation using OPA/Conftest, along with familiarity in AWS Config, Security Hub, and GuardDuty.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
